1. What type of providers will I be scheduling a consultation with?

Gaya Wellness PLLC takes great pride in employing only top rated and board certified physicians. The Gaya Standard is pretty high. You can rest assured that the physicians on our platform are super advocates for their patients and committed to their empowerment. Not only that- we also have high standards for the local partners we select to work with and market their practice on GAYA Wellness.

2. Is Gaya Wellness PLLC a HIPAA compliant platform?

You bet we are. We practice the utmost care with both your medical record as well as your billing information. We have safeguards in place to prevent a breach in the system and regularly have compliance training for our employees to ensure the highest privacy for you.

3. How are pelvic exams and pap smears performed if everything is virtual?

It is no longer recommended to have a “ Routine Pelvic Exam” annually. A woman still needs to have routine pap smears- but even that is only done every 3-5 years. Of course there will always be exceptions. When you do need an in-person visit for pap smears or a specific problem, we will arrange for you to see one of our trusted local partners who meet the vigorous GAYA standards of Quality and Comfort.

4. Do You Accept My Insurance?

We are diligently working to move towards accepting major insurance plans. In the meantime, we have kept the cost of a consult to be equal to or less than the cost of a medicaid co-pay.

5. Can I use my HSA/FSA to pay for a consultation?

YES! Every service we offer can be paid for using these options

6. I am a Medicare Beneficiary- Can I still use Gaya Wellness?

Gaya Wellness doctors are opted out of Medicare. The Medicare Agreement is required by all of our members and acknowledges that you agree not to submit a claim, or to ask the doctor to submit a claim to Medicare. Please note that if you don’t sign our Medicare Agreement, Gaya Wellness is unable to provide you with services.

7. Can I get a prescription?

Gaya Wellness PLLC does not guarantee prescriptions. It is up to the doctor to recommend the best treatment. Our doctors do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by the DEA, non-therapeutic and/or certain other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse.

8. Does Gaya Wellness PLLC offer Emergency Services?

You should not use Gaya Wellness if you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency. In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911.
